Established in 1972, Norpine Auto Industrial Supply is a locally owned and operated company with locations in La Crete and High Level, Alberta. Norpine is one of northern Alberta's largest suppliers of automotive, agricultural, forestry, oilfield, and industrial parts and services, helping customers find dependable products, knowledgeable support, and practical solutions for demanding work environments.
What began as a small parts business in La Crete has grown into a trusted source for drivers, farms, fleets, contractors, repair shops, and industrial operations. Our History
In 1971, Bernard K. Peters, George P. Wiebe, Bill Fehr, and Jake Elias recognized the need for a local automotive and industrial parts supplier in La Crete. On February 22, 1972, Norpine Auto Supply Ltd. opened for business in a modest 24' x 30' building. As demand grew, Norpine expanded in 1974, rebuilt after a fire in 1977, and continued investing in better inventory and service support as the business grew.
In 1980, Norpine installed its first computer system to improve inventory control. In 1984, the company expanded again and opened its High Level location. A new High Level store followed in 1996, the same year part of the business was sold to eight long-time employees, marking the start of a new era. In 2002, Norpine opened a new La Crete location, and a major expansion completed in 2015 brought the La Crete facility to 45,900 square feet under one roof.
